Fluorinated fluids have many uses in the pharmaceutical sector.  Low temperature reactions can take place in systems cooled by an indirect use of a heat transfer fluid.

Fluorinated fluids are low in toxicity, stable from pour point to boiling point, non-flammable and many have a good environmental profile making them ideal fluids for use in freeze drying applications. Low viscosity even at temperatures as low as -100°C enables the fluids to be used in ultra-low temperature applications safely and reliably.
